Asians don’t mess around with their beauty products and are way more advanced than much of the skin care and makeup in North America, which is slowly trying to catch up.
I’ve tried a few Asian skin care brands to date, but there a ton to choose from and they have makeup products too that are just as innovative.
Check out 25 of the best Asian beauty brands that you need to have on your radar!

25 Asian Beauty Brands To Shop
- The Skin Pharmacy – Singaporean beauty brand, as the name suggests, was established by pharmacists and has a strong focus on solving skin care issues. The brand has created well-known active serums like their Retinol Eye Repair Serum, Anti-Acne, Eye Bag Reduction and a Collagen Building Serum, to name a few.
- Blithe Patting Splash Mask – skin softening, with immediate results? This Korean ‘splash mask’ claims to work in seconds by brightening and smoothing skin super fast.
- Peripera Peri’s Tint Marker – Ultra cute packaging is big with this brand! This hydrating lip marker glides over lips promising a soft finish and long-lasting colour.
- Dr Jart + Dermaclear Micro Milk Peel – Dr Jart has a strong following and is a master of skin care, so it’s no surprise that this brand is on this list (and my wish list as well!). In particular, Dr Jart’s Micro Milk Peel is a two-step skin peel, which claims to be smoothing and gentle for most skin types. It even comes with its own cotton swabs, making it easy to get clean, soft and bright skin.
- If you suffer from redness and mildly irritated skin, then you might want to consider Innisfree’s It’s Real Squeeze Mask in Green Tea. It’s a super cheap mask packed with green tea (obviously), is all natural and promises to help calm any redness or irritation. If you want to try a variety of their masks, there’s a 10-pack available here.
- Skinfood -this yummy-sounding brand makes its products from ingredients you’d find in food – hence the name. The Egg White Pore Foam is one of their more popular items, but they have a ton of face masks, toners and moisturizers with ingredients like lemon, apple, cranberry, watermelon and pineapple on Amazon that I’m dying to try out. The line is cruelty-free, sustainable and eco-friendly.
- Glow Recipe – featured heavily in the press not long ago because of the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask (which I still have to get my hands on). Order yours before it goes out of stock again!
- Too Cool For School – the whole line is made from egg whites, so this isn’t suitable for vegans or egg sensitive people, however, the ingredients found in egg whites naturally tightens pores. The products are priced super affordable and they look cute too.
- Etude House – Brow pencils to bold lips. The packaging alone is gorgeous and the prices start at a mere $1.50 (wow). The popular purchase is the Drawing Eye Brow, so you might want to pop it on your list. And yes, they have skin care products too! I am long overdue in reviewing their Wonder Pore Toner and Collagen Sleeping Mask (my bad, but it’s coming!).
- Inga by 27a – the chicest lip packaging with the most luxurious lip colours. Cleverly designed to deal with hot climates and Asian skin tones so they’ll always be complementary and never wash you out.
- If you’re a fan of a quick swipe product, then these exfoliating pads from Neogen will be your go-to. Neogen Bio-Peel Lemon Pads apply thin layers of acid to exfoliate and achieve smooth skin without the damage that exfoliating scrubs can cause. The lemon in this one brightens the skin and banishes blackheads, and who doesn’t want that?
- Did you hear about the snail beauty trend? Well, Cosrx Advanced Snail Mucin Power Essence (reviewed here) has a potent 96% snail mucin. Snail mucin has been shown to brighten dark spots, hydrate the driest of skin and fade acne scars – with a penny sized amount. I loved using it and need to get a refill! I’m currently using the Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Remover Toner and love it (no surprise, right??).
- Wrinkles be gone! You can’t call Mizon Skin Recovery Night Repairing Seruming Ampoule a ‘serum’ because it’s so much more. Lathyrus Japonicas extract, Vitamin B and moisture boosting Aloe Vera applied to your face twice daily promises to have you looking glowy, smooth and soft within a week. Definitely on my skin care wish list!
- Big lashes and kitschy packaging? Kiss Me Heroine Volume and Curl Mascara has you covered. It’s waterproof and claims to double your lashes in volume and length without clumps.
- Fan of sheet masks? Well, have you tried a hair sheet mask? Imagine one soaked in keratin and aloe (sounds amazing!). It takes 15 minutes and is supposed to leave you with soft, silky hair. Kokostar Hair Therapy to the rescue!
- Nails deserve some love too. Coat Colours is Singapore’s first organic nail polish label and doesn’t contain any of the harmful chemicals usually found in nail polish. The line has everything from glitters to nudes; their ‘Before Midnight’ just might have you asking how much a mortgage loan is to move to Singapore.
- Cartoon packaging make you super happy? Tonymoly is also chock full of super fun (and effective) ingredients. Charcoal, Lotus, Cactus, Rice, Red Wine and Makgeolli are some of their most popular sheet masks. You can also pick up a pack of lip hydrating lip patches, or some fermented snail lip treatment – yummy!
You can order a variety pack here.
- Sensitive skin needs even more care and attention. Klairs Cosmetics is a cruelty free brand I’ve recently tried that doesn’t use alcohol, parabens or artificial fragrance in their products. If you have sensitive, blemished or otherwise stressed skin, you should check out my review of the Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream.
- Japanese manicurist Kiho Watanab created a cult must-have with UKA Nail 7:15. Their cuticle oil contains sweet almond, jojoba, wheat and rosewood to protect and treat the driest of cuticles (like mine). It claims to absorb super quickly and make your nail beds look, and more importantly, feel healthy. Sounds like I need a barrel of this stuff.
- A good cleanser can be hard to come by. Erborian Cleansing Micellar Water is super gentle and contains chamomile, liquorice and rosemary. It promises to remove even waterproof mascara while remaining very gentle on the skin. It doesn’t need to be rinsed off and has a total of seven herbs in it to nourish the skin.
- Forever looking for a BB cream with SPF and good coverage? You might want to add Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF 42 PA+++ to your list. A couple of pumps promises to cover dark spots, blemishes, even out skin tone and protect you from the sun. I’ve also heard that their Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule is a more affordable, but very effective dupe for Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair serum. You’re welcome!
- Auolive works on the basis that not everyone has time for a 15-step skin care routine. In fact, many people have time for about three steps total. Auolive products are multi-functional. The two main players? Rise & Shine, Moisturise – with SPF 30 and Seep in Deep, Rest and Sleep night booster. Perfect for anyone short on time but committed to great skin.
- If BB cream isn’t everything you want and more, try a CC cream! AmorePacific Color Control Cushion Compact, Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ is a lot of bang for your buck. The compact allows you to build colour slowly with a soft sponge and promises to effortlessly cover redness and blemishes while protecting you from the sun. I love a hard working beauty product!
- If you’re a stickler for a good skin care routine, then you’ll love a good toner. Combination skin? Acne? Overall dull skin? Well, step forward Whal Myung Skin Elixir. This toner dates back to 19th century Korea. Packed with skin-nourishing herbs, it’s a necessary all-rounder. Brightens, softens, hydrates and fights acne to boot.
- Ultru, a skin care lover’s dream. These masks stay on for 40 minutes, meaning they’re perfect for a long soak in the bath too. The Black Mud Mask Tightening is for drawing out the nasties in your skin, while the Brightening Jelly Mask (filled with lily and lotus) improves large pores and infuses some brightening goodness. Finally, Pore Care is moisturising and soothing. They all come with instructions on how to get the most from each mask so you don’t have to worry about how best to use them and can focus on relaxing.
