Christmas Wreaths
Christmas wreaths are a great way to welcome your guests into your holiday home! They’re also not just for doors either; place a wreath over your fireplace mantle, on the end of your staircase, on the top of a table as a centerpiece – there are so many options for the right Christmas wreath.
Holiday Pillows & Throws
An easy way to change things up for the holidays is swapping out your standard couch and bedroom pillows with some holiday pillows or throw blankets. Holiday themed pillows add some fun into your decor and are perfect if you love a more farmhouse decor feel.
Looking for more upscale holiday decor? Adding pillows or throws with textures such as fur, knits or holiday patterns like plaid bring the Christmas spirit throughout your home with luxe textures.
Nutcrackers
Find garlands, wreaths and candles too much? Snag a few nutcrackers and scatter them throughout your home for a quick holiday pick me up.
The oversized ones are great for your front foyer to greet your guests while smaller ones can fit easily onto a console, mantle or tabletop.
Mini Christmas Trees
If you live in a smaller space or just want a few cute trees to add into different areas of your home, mini Christmas trees are going to be perfect for you. Add a couple to your front entrance or living areas to spread the Christmas cheer. You can also experiment with different coloured trees to match your holiday colour theme.
Garlands Everywhere
Using garlands for Christmas holiday decor is one of the most popular winter decor trends for your home. Whether placed indoors or outdoors, they can be bare, dressed with lights or covered with ornaments. You can also explore other garland options like beads, berries or bows.
A Holiday Fireplace Mantle
The fireplace is prime real estate when it comes to holiday decor. Incorporate candles, lanterns, garland, ornaments, stockings and more into your mantle decor to fit your Christmas decorating style!
Pampas Grass Arrangement
Pampas grass is a great Boho decor piece that works well for winter decor, especially if the idea of garlands and bows isn’t your bag or you’re looking for a feminine touch.
Holiday Floral/Plant Arrangement
Floral or planter arrangements are perfect for bringing the flowers and blooms available during the season into and outside of your home. Working in touches like ornaments, candles, pinecones, berries or bows are an easy way to create a DIY centrepiece for your holiday dining table or front porch planter.
Advent Calendars
Advent calendars are a fun way to count down to Christmas, especially if you have kids in the house. Etsy has a ton of great advent calendar options from houses to quilts.
Personalized Ornaments
I ordered some personalized ornaments to mark my daughters’ first Christmas and I love adding them to the tree every year. Etsy is a great place to find personalized ornaments for yourself or as gifts to others – they are the perfect gift idea for newlyweds, new parents or new babies!

A Holiday Themed Bar Cart
I love styled bar carts and the holidays just bring another opportunity to re-style your cart for some Christmas spirits! Below are some inspirational posts to get your creative liquor styling juices flowing!
Or re-style your cart into a cozy hot cocoa station for the holidays instead (with a few corrective liquor options included, of course!).
Gingerbread House & Candy Station
Let’s be honest, a large part of the holidays are about eating treats and great food. Adding a few candy dishes or candy filled apothecary jars to surround a yummy gingerbread house lets you display your goodies before they’re all gone.
If a real gingerbread house is too tempting, you can always buy the porcelain variety!
Holiday Themed Mugs
A quick and simple way to have some holiday fun is to swap in some holiday themed mugs and glasses into your kitchen decor. Place some on your bar cart, on your open shelves or your kitchen coffee area to spread some holiday cheer.
A Christmas Vignette
Sometimes decorating every corner of the house can be more time than you want to invest in your holiday decorating schedule.
But adding a small Christmas vignette on a console table, coffee table or kitchen corner can be a simple way to decorate without blowing the budget or creating too much work for yourself during this busy season.
