Looking for ways to look more confidant, attractive and vibrant? Aren’t we all? It’s a lot easier than you think and often can be achieved without spending a dime!
Post-COVID has been a difficult transition period for everyone and if you’re experience during the pandemic is anything like mine, you may feel less attractive after gaining a few pounds (I gained 15 pounds that I’m struggling to get rid of!) or changed your beauty habits and regular maintenance routine once the work from home orders came into effect.
It’s also natural to compare yourself to others, which can leave you feeling less than in the looks department, especially when every social media post and magazine cover has photoshopped celebrities that always look perfect.
But everyone deserves to look and feel their best and this post is going to get that process started with a ton of easy tips to make you look more attractive anywhere you go.
I’ve also linked a number of related posts below to help you start out on these tips!

Smile
Smiling is clear body language that you are confident, fun loving and happy. If you ever doubt that, just think about how you feel when you approach someone who is not smiling versus someone who is smiling – which version would you rather talk to?
I know we don’t always feel like cracking a smile, but showing off your smile can make you more inviting to others and can also help boost your mood naturally.
Stay Active
Exercise is often a scary word for most people, but exercising can be as simple as going for a 15 minute walk every day.
Staying active is a great way to boost your mood and improve your physique. It also helps to reduce stress and anxiety, especially if you are walking outside in an area that you enjoy.
Reducing stress, boosting your happy endorphins and feeling better about your body are all great ways to look more attractive and feel more confident.
Maintain Good Posture
Rounding your shoulders or hunching is a quick way to look less attractive and is also terrible for the muscles in your back and shoulders.
Focus on maintaining good posture, especially when you want to convey an assertive position or you want to look more eye-catching; it’s a great way to change your appearance instantly.
Dress For Your Body
This is one I often struggle with, especially at the moment, as I’m much heavier than I have been in prior years. I have very little desire to shop for my new, larger body and struggle to find outfits that make me feel attractive.
Everyone thinks they’ll achieve their desired weight and don’t want to buy larger clothes, but don’t wait for what you might look like tomorrow, go dress your fine ass now!
Find clothes that suit your current body type and fit you properly; ill-fitting clothes will instantly make you look less attractive and when you don’t feel comfortable in the clothes you’re wearing, it will clearly show.
Instead, pull together key wardrobe staples that fit you well; blazers, jeans, tops and skirts and interchange these items for different looks that work for you for instant cuteness.

Listen More
Many times we want so much to share our thoughts, opinions and experiences that we fail to listen to those of others. Ever talk to someone that doesn’t let you get a word in edgewise? I guarantee that no matter what that person looks like, they instantly seemed less attractive to you after fighting to get a word out.
Take the time to really listen to what others are saying; being open and receptive to others is a great quality that will easily make you more popular to be around and subsequently more attractive.
Be Humble
If you’ve ever dealt with someone who only talks about themselves or brags about all the things they’ve bought or achieved, I’m pretty sure you’ll agree that it can be a real turn-off.
Being humble is always an attractive quality and those who practice modesty know that you don’t have to yell from the rooftops that you’re successful, smart or good-looking to get that message across to others.
Keep Your Nails Groomed
I really struggle with this one, since I’m a chronic cuticle picker. I can most definitely tell you that chewed up nails or cuticles make your hands look terrible and can be a real turn off to most people, especially if you have your fingers shoved into you mouth all the time.
Make time to trim or file long nails, groom your cuticles and moisturize your hands to keep them looking their best. And at the very least, keep your fingers out of your mouth!
Practice Self Care
Taking care of yourself is the most important part of looking and feeling your best. Finding time to practice self care can definitely be hard in this busy world, but it’s crazy important for maintaining your physical and mental health, which ultimately impacts how you look and deal with others.
Take time out of your day to do something that you enjoy – go for a walk, slap on a sheet mask, listen to your favourite music, light a soothing candle, call a friend – anything that helps you to take time out for yourself and soothe your soul.

Groom Your Brows
Unruly brows or the old unibrow may not make you look presentable and put together. Trim long eyebrows and consider having them professionally shaped if you’ve never had that done before.
Well-groomed brows can make a huge difference in the look of your face and bring attention to your beautiful eyes.

Practice Self Love
I personally have a hard time accepting compliments and find it easier to put myself down rather than build myself up. But practicing self love and acceptance is an important part of self care and shows to others that you are comfortable in the skin you’re in.
Always value yourself and don’t let others put you down; self love involves confidence and being assertive, which is always an attractive quality (as long as you don’t go off the deep end and forget to be humble!).
Maintain A Consistent Skin Care Routine
Put your best skin forward by following a consistent skin care routine that at the very least includes cleansing, moisturizing and wearing sunscreen any time you are in broad daylight. Great skin is something you’ll want to show off and contributes to how you look and feel.

Practice Good Dental Health
You won’t feel like smiling if your teeth aren’t well taken care of. Be sure to brush twice a day to keep your pearly whites looking their best and consider whitening your teeth (either at home or in the dentist’s office) if all that wine, tea or coffee drinking have taken a toll on their whiteness. You can read more about at home teeth whitening here.
Dental health also plays a factor in having fresh breath. Keep your breath fresh through regular brushing, flossing and mouthwash.
Smell Great
Smelling great definitely feeds into your allure, as long as your fragrance isn’t too strong. Apply your fave perfume to your pulse points, apply a couple spritzes of a body mist or apply a scent to your hair to up your fragrance factor.
Remove Facial Hair
If you suffer from annoying peach fuzz or stubble on your face, it can leave you looking ungroomed and make you feel self-conscious about it. But facial hair can be easily removed using a facial razor, laser hair removal (either professionally or at home with your own device) or sugaring/waxing.
Removing facial hair will leave your face feeling smooth and will allow your makeup and skin care to apply better as well. You can read more about facial shaving here. You can read about my fave laser hair removal device here.
Bring Out Your Eyes & Lips
If a full-on face of makeup is not your thing, you can follow a simple makeup routine that plays up your eyes and lips.
Apply some mascara to bring out your lashes and make your eyes look bigger and brighter. Not only will your eyes pop, but you will look more awake and vibrant instantly, especially if you’re suffering from lack of sleep.
For your lips, try adding a lip gloss or lipstick to make your lips look more full and pouty.

Act Confident
This is by far the most important factor in looking more attractive! People who have closed body posture (e.g. arms crossed), don’t make eye contact or shy away from everyone appear less open, less confident and ultimately less attractive.
Show your confidence when you walk into a room; say hello to everyone, look them in the eye, maintain good posture and be assertive. At the heart of any attractive person is confidence, no matter what you look like.
Get Enough Sleep
Easier said than done – I know! But getting enough rest is essential to feeling your best and looking your best. If you feel tired, it will quickly show and can cause puffy, droopy eyes, headaches and a crabby attitude. Try you best to get 8 hours of sleep each night to look your best in the morning.
Be Yourself
Acting like someone else is not only exhausting, but will attract the wrong people to you. Always be yourself and let your personality shine; you want to attract people who authentically enjoy being around the real you and not a made up version.
Keep Your Hair Tidy
You don’t need to be a professional hairstylist, but ensuring your hair is well brushed and tidy will go a long way in making you more attractive and boosting your confidence.

Try A Sheet Mask or Eye Patches
A quick way to revive your skin’s glow is to apply a sheet mask. Sheet masks boost your skin’s hydration level in about 20 minutes and can help plump your skin to reduce the look of fine lines and texture.
If you suffer from puffy eyes, try some eye patches to help boost hydration in that area and reduce puffiness fast. Sheet masks and under eye patches are also super relaxing and a great way to get in some self care in a short period of time.
