I have a huge box of beauty empties that I am super behind on, so I thought I would share 6 of my latest skin care products I would repurchase.

1. The Ordinary 100% Cold-Pressed Virgin Marula Oil
This oil is one that I actually bought for my youngest daughter Iva, who suffers from eczema in the cooler months.
I heard that Marula oil is great for eczema sufferers and decided to give it a try – and it definitely helped.
Marula oil is rich in antioxidants and is obtained from the kernels of the fruits of Marula tree. It’s mostly composed of oleic acid and linoleic acid but also contains procyanidin, catechins and flavanoids.
This formula contains only cold-pressed virgin African Marula oil that is 100% unrefined.
I usually add a couple drops of this oil to her body creams and lotions before I apply them.
The oil itself is unscented and lightweight and helps seal in moisture and protect her dry, itchy skin. It can also be applied to your hair for shine and lustre.
Based on how much it helped my daughter’s eczema patches, I have already re-purchased this Marula oil.

2. Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner
This Korean facial toner was an Amazon purchase that I thoroughly enjoyed.
It comes in a scented and unscented formula – I got the scented one and the lavender smell is quite nice!
This is a hydrating toner that’s meant to be applied after cleansing and exfoliating.
Made with centella asiatica (which promotes healing and calming), aloe, a copper peptide and licorice root, this calming toner helps restore the skin’s pH level to enable the products applied on top to absorb better. It also keeps my skin moisturized.
I personally loved this toner – it feels soothing on the skin and does what it says. It also has a really nice slippery texture, which makes it easy to apply with my hands instead of a cotton pad.

3. Vichy Idealia Night Peeling Toner
Originally reviewed here, this is an acid exfoliating toner that instantly improved the texture of my skin and shrunk my pores shortly after using it.
The formula includes glycolic acid combined with the extracts of fermented black tea and blueberry containing polyphenols, as well as Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water to make skin more even and radiant.
Like most Vichy products, this toner had an added fragrance, which I wasn’t a fan of, but ultimately I enjoyed how well it worked and was able to ignore the scent.

4. The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%
No longer available in Canada, this awesome silicone-based cream was amazing at reducing my pore size and redness.
Azelaic acid also brightens the complexion and fights blemishes and has even been promoted to help those suffering from rosacea.
Reviewed in detail here, this gentle acid is perfect for sensitive skin or even pregnant women and doesn’t tingle when applied.
If you suffer from redness, enlarged pores or blemishes, I highly recommend it!

5. Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence SPF50 PA++++
Still my favourite SPF to date, this gifted sunscreen is pretty much perfect in every way for me: it doesn’t sting my eyes, it’s lightweight, absorbs quickly and has no sunscreen scent.
It has no white cast and is never greasy. It also wears perfectly under makeup and provides broad spectrum UV protection. Need I say more?

6. Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Facial Toner with Aloe Vera
This rose petal toner is actually what I use as a makeup primer and finishing spray, similar to how one would use the more expensive MAC Prep+Prime Fix+.
It’s made with rosewater, witch hazel extract and aloe vera to hydrate and soothe skin.
Witch hazel helps reduce oil production and tightens pores.
Spritzing this onto my face before I apply my makeup helps hydrate my skin so my foundation blends well and has a slightly more dewy look (I wouldn’t recommend this for oily skin!).
When used as a setting spray, it ensures my powder doesn’t look heavy and allows it to melt into the skin seamlessly for a flawless finish, with a touch of dew.
It does have a rose scent, so avoid it if you hate florals.
