I normally suffer from dry, flaky skin each winter, but not this year! I’ve been focusing a lot on keeping my skin hydrated and it’s really paid off. And I didn’t have to spend a fortune on these skin care products either.
Here are a few moisturizing face products that my skin has been soaking up this winter.

Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Lotion Moist
I’ve wanted to try out this Japanese skin care brand for a while and their Gokujyun Hyaluronic Lotion Moist has made me want to explore even more from the brand. This clear, watery, unscented gel glides over the skin effortlessly and fully absorbs, leaving only the plumpest, happiest skin behind. I apply this lotion like I would an essence and am totally in love with this product in every way; it’s hydration perfection, in my opinion. As a result, I just ordered the brand’s Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Solution to try out next and am anxiously awaiting its arrival (ebates was offering 12% cash back from Amazon at the time, so I couldn’t resist!).

The Body Shop Roots Of Strength Firming Essence Lotion
I actually bought this essence when my Hada Labo Lotion didn’t arrive on time from Amazon and my TBS Drops of Youth Essence Lotion finished around the same time. I classified this period of time as a skin care emergency, as I cannot live without an essence in my routine. The Firming Essence Lotion is 100% vegan and uses root extracts from ginger, ginseng and ruscus to firm skin, along with hyaluronic acid for moisture and salicylic acid to clean out pores. This lotion isn’t as hydrating as the stellar Hada Labo lotion, but is still a great hydrating option, especially if you have oilier skin.

Kalleis Skinimune Moisturizer
If you’re looking for silky soft skin that glows, the Kalleis Skinimune Moisturizer is the dose of Italian luxury your skin has been looking for. Super lightweight, Skinimune will give you the softest skin of your life without any greasiness, while its active ingredients help slow down the aging process. I alternate this moisturizer with the Kalleis Kalilux Moisturizer, which I find slightly thicker, but just as amazing on the skin. The Detox Cleansing Milk from the line is also a spectacularly lovely cleanser that leaves skin clean and uber soft. You can find all these favourites for purchase here. Each one is magnifico!

Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner
Klairs is a great Korean skin care brand and their Supple Preparation Facial Toner is what I apply to my skin in my morning and evening skin care routine after cleansing and exfoliating. It restores hydration with hyaluronic acid, lipidure-PMB and beta-glucan, while balancing the skin’s pH level. The moisturizing benefits of this toner are felt instantly and several layers of it can be applied if you’re looking for extra hydration. I have the scented version, which I actually like, but they offer an unscented version as well.

Klairs skin care is well priced, well made, cruelty-free, paraben free and vegan. I’ve been loving this brand so far and still enjoy their Midnight Blue Calming Cream* (great for stressed/blemished skin) as well as their Soft Airy UV Essence SPF50 PA++++*, which is a brilliant sunscreen.
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Cream*
I got Vichy’s Aqualia Thermal Light* facial moisturizer free for testing from Influenster and immediately liked it. Besides the nasty fragrance, which is the only thing I dislike about it, Aqualia Thermal Light is an awesome gel-cream moisturizer that hits me with deep hydration that lasts on my skin until the morning. The “Light” version is for normal or combination skin, but there is a “Rich” version for drier skin types. If you can get past the yucky hairspray smell, you won’t be sorry.
