I’m really excited for this month’s Ipsy Glam Bag goodies because I’ll get to try out popular brands such as The Balm, Dr. Brandt and Ouai as well as some lesser knowns like Be A Bombshell and Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics. I’m also really loving the cute pink makeup bag eveything came with; I don’t think I’m giving this one away!
The Balm Cosmetics Bahama Mama (mini) – $20USD (full size)
Bahama Mama is a brown-based bronzer made to give the skin a warm glow and can also be used as a matte contour. This may have arrived at the perfect time, since my usual contour shade (NYX high definition blush in “Taupe”) is finally on its last few crumbs and I’m hitting pan. I’m super pale, so I was curious to see if this would work with my skin tone, but it’s a little on the orange side for me. This one might have to be gifted to a friend (if they can manage to get a brush into this little sample!).
Ouai Treatment Mask (mini) – $32USD (full size)
This mask made UK Glamour’s Beauty Power List, as well as their Pro Hair Pick. A restorative hair mask, it’s supposed to repair damaged hair (which, as we know, is not possible) and leave hair super soft and smooth.
I’ve been loving lipsticks, but I’ll have to change gears and give gloss a go. This gloss claims to be super shiny, full coverage and a lip plumper all in one. This nude pink (hopefully) will be a great addition to my handbag.
This peach shade claims to work on all skin tones with long lasting, blendable, buildable coverage. It has a creamy texture and is super pigmented, so it looks like a keeper so far.
Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion (mini) – $79USD (for full size)
I always hear great things about this skin care brand, so I’m really stoked to try out this mini age-defying microdermabrasion scrub. Filled with aluminum oxide crystals, this mechanical exfoliant is supposed to leave you with softer skin while reducing fine lines and improving skin texture. Ingredients include aloe vera and chamomile for calming skin, jojoba to soften and lactic acid to chemically exfoliate.
What did you think of this month’s Ipsy bag?
