Avon x The Face Shop Is Bringing You Curated Korean Beauty Products

Just when you thought Avon couldn’t get any more products into their already jam-packed catalogue, they go and team up with Korean beauty store The Face Shop for an awesome Kbeauty collab.

What does this mean? You can now order Korean makeup and skin care items from this capsule collection through Avon and I for one am thrilled! I think this collaboration will allow so many people out there to get a taste of Korean beauty products.

Avon x The Face Shop Ink Lasting Cushion Foundation Slim Fit – $30CAD

This is my first ever cushion foundation and I was ecstatic to try it. It comes in a sleek black compact with the cutest applicator sponge and has a lightweight formula that you can barely feel on the skin. Its soft matte finish is buildable to a good medium coverage and the portable compact means you can perfect your complexion on the go.

The Ink Lasting Cushion foundation comes in 18 shades and blends seamlessly into my 35+ skin for a natural your-skin-but-better look. It also sets down quite quickly and doesn’t need to be powdered.

The applicator sponge is quite easy to use, but you can always dab a damp makeup sponge into the foundation sponge if you prefer.

My only issue with this foundation is that the shade I received is too dark, so I’m thinking of grabbing a lighter shade through my Avon rep.

If cushion foundations aren’t your jam, there’s also an Ink Lasting Liquid Foundation that comes in a bottle.

Avon x The Face Shop Ink Lasting Primer – $24CAD

I’ve been wearing this primer since I received it and have no complaints. This silicone primer works to control oil and minimize pores and it’s smooth formula leaves my skin super soft and baby-smooth.

It’s also surprisingly lightweight and glides easily onto the skin, unlike most silicone primers, which tend to be thick and heavy.

Avon also has pink, lavender and green colour correcting primers available, as well as an illuminating primer to make skin glow!

Avon x The Face Shop Moisture Cushion Blush in “Coral” – $16CAD

Similar to the cushion foundation, Avon x The Face Shop has introduced 3 cushion blush shades that are equally stunning. I received the shade Coral and I fell endlessly in love with it.

This blush includes a blend of passion flower, rosehip oil and vitamin E to nourish skin. The formula is lightweight with a bit of a sheen to give skin a dewy, watercolour-like flush to the cheeks that lasts all day without moving or caking up.

It’s easy to apply with the applicator sponge, a stipple brush or even with your fingers.

There’s also a Moisture Cushion Highlighter if you’re looking to pat on a little bit of glow this season!

Avon x The Face Shop Flat Velvet Lipstick in “Fluffy Pink” – $13CAD

This lipstick promises a velvety matte finish that also helps to minimize fine lines – yes please! It uses a square-tipped bullet applicator for easy lining and filling, with great pigmentation.

Flat Velvet comes in 10 pretty shades and is infused with nourishing argan, calendula, jojoba and olive oil to keeps lips soft and kissable. You can see all the shades swatched in the video further down.

Avon x The Face Shop Deluxe 4-Piece Beauty Sampler

I received these deluxe skin care samplers to try out, which did not disappoint:

The Dr. Belmeur Advanced Cica Recovery Cream has been on my wishlist for ages and I will definitely grab the full size. It has a thick, balmy texture that soothes and hydrates while absorbing instantly into the skin, with the faintest whiff of a lemon scent. It includes ceramide and Centella Asiatica Extract or “Cica”, which is well known for soothing irritated skin and strengthening the skin’s moisture barrier.

The Therapy Oil Blending Cream has the most amazing gel-cream texture that are separate in the tub and must be mixed together 10 seconds before your first application. Made with sandalwood, avocado and palmarosa leaves, this gel-cream feels uber luxurious and leaves my skin plump and happy.

The Rice Water Foaming Bright Cleanser is a great face wash that produces a creamy cloud of foam with the tiniest amount of product. It’s enriched with vitamins A, E and B as well as ceramide and minerals to keep skin soft and radiant. It does include sodium lauryl sulfate in the ingredients – FYI.

The Veilment Natural Spa Black Rose Body Scrub is something I haven’t tried yet, but it has a nice gritty texture that looks promising and a lovely fragrance to it as well.
