I’ve been enjoying this skin care tool in my beauty and self care routine lately and because it only takes 2 minutes or less for a treatment, there’s always time for some UFO2 action!

How Does The FOREO UFO2 Work?
The FOREO UFO2 is a skin care device meant to work best with FOREO UFO power activated masks and sheet masks, but can also be used with your regular skin care products.
The UFO2 uses hyper-infusion technology to provide deep, long-lasting hydration and helps to push the active ingredients in your skin care deeper into your skin to work at their best.
Even better, it claims to reduce the look of fine lines in less than one week in a time-saving 90-second treatment (although it doesn’t specify how many times it needs to be used to achieve this).
FEATURES
The UFO2 features cooling cryo-therapy to firm skin, which reduces wrinkles and puffiness while minimizing pores. The intense cooling sensation causes blood vessels to contract and tighten; after cryo-therapy when the skin temperature returns to normal, the blood vessels dilate quickly, driving circulation. Cryo-facials are also believed to stimulate collagen production.
Warming thermo-therapy (the application of gentle heat) helps the active ingredients from your mask absorb deep into skin for optimal hydration and results.
The warmth also increases blood flow to boost skin repair and drainage, loosens sebum (oil) on the skin’s surface and relaxes the facial muscles.
LED therapy offers eight different wavelengths for targeted photo-facials: purple, white, green, orange, blue, cyan, yellow and red lights to improve the complexion, while FOREO’s T-sonic massage relaxes muscle tension points and boosts circulation for a refreshing glow.
The FOREO UFO2 comes with a 2-year warranty and four different device colours to choose from (light pink, fuchsia, black and mint). It also comes with a charging USB cord and a manual.
Using The FOREO APP
FOREO has designed an app that can be downloaded onto your mobile that provides you with unique treatments for UFO power activated masks and FOREO sheet masks, corresponding to each mask formula.
The app also lets you create your own personalized facial routine and technology preferences (e.g. cryo-therapy, thermo-therapy, LED therapy, etc.) and includes a “find my device” function should you misplace your UFO2.
The app connects to your device via Bluetooth and can also be used with any other FOREO device as well. Once you’ve synced the UFO2 to the app, simply select the mask treatment you would like to use and it will automatically activate your device with that treatment.
The app also includes details of each UFO power activated mask so you can browse which masks to purchase to meet your skin care needs. I’ve included a couple screenshots of the FORO app below:

The brand has developed and sourced the power activated masks and sheet masks from Korea, a country well known for its skin care innovations. These masks are madee from ultra-soft microfiber and drenched in premium skin care formulas.

To test, FOREO gifted me the Make My Day and the Call It A Night masks. The Call It A Night mask is formulated with rich olive oil and ginseng to nourish and plump the skin before bed for a smooth and silky complexion – it left my skin feeling like a silk sheet!
The Make My Day mask is a red algae and hyaluronic acid infused mask made to hydrate and refresh your skin for the day ahead. It plumps my skin in a couple minutes in the same way a full sheet mask would after 20 minutes! Definitely a time saver for that girl on the go.
Tip: Always keep the mask packaging and be sure to use all of the masking essence before you toss it out; there’s always excess product left over to use later!
How To Use The FOREO UFO2
This device is designed to be used with FOREO’s ultra hydrating, collagen infused UFO power activated masks and sheet masks, but can also be used on top of your regular skin care (if you use your own skin care, just make sure you are applying it on top of products that have slip, or it will not glide on the skin).
I always assumed that the bright gold side of the device is what was used, but it’s actually the other side of the UFO2 with the FOREO wording on it that does all the magic.
Skin Care Routine Tip: This treatment is best inserted into your skin care routine after cleansing, exfoliating and treating your skin, but before moisturizing.
When using a UFO power activated mask, remove the round mask from the packet, remove the clear plastic ring from the UFO2, place the mask on top of the dark gold UFO plate and then put the plastic ring back on to secure the mask.
Turn on the FOREO app and sync the UFO2 via Bluetooth to the app, then select the mask you are using; the app will sync with the UFO2 and turn it on so you can begin the mask treatment using the app as a guide or moving around your face as you like. The treatment you select will automatically apply the cooling and heat settings, massage and LED treatments for that particular mask.
Once complete, you can repeat the treatment again (although I find the mask is usually used up after one treatment) or remove the mask and throw it away.
Always rinse your FOREO UFO2 clean after each use (it’s fully waterproof!) to keep it clean.

My Results & How I Use the FOREO UFO2
I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about how the UFO2 would work to boost hydration, but it definitely helps the power activated masks absorb into the skin. I know this because the mask starts off super slimy and filled with product (much like a normal sheet mask would) but is almost completely dry by the end of the 90-second treatment!
And similar to the plumping and hydrating results you would get from a 20-minute sheet mask, I was able to get those same results by the end of one treatment session – that is, glowing, soft, plump skin with minimized pores.
Both of the masks that I tried left my skin super soft and juicy and the treatment itself is relaxing and soothing. Both masks used a mixture of warming and cooling treatments followed by a T-sonic massage at the end.
For the parts of my face that have deeper lines, like my forehead, or the spots that have enlarged pores, like my cheeks, I made sure to spend more time on those areas for a targeted treatment. I also made sure to spend time on the puffier parts of my face (under-eyes, cheeks) during the cryo-therapy and spend time on the more tense parts of my face (between my eyebrows and jaw during the warming thermo-therapy.
The only issue I have with this device is the shape, which can make it hard to maneuver the device in some of the tighter parts of the face, like on or around the inner eye area beside the nose. Otherwise, it’s very comfortable to hold and move around during the treatment.
I also tried this device with my own skin care products, but found that I had to use products that had a lot of slip to allow the device to glide over the skin easily and not tug at it.
