Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer, Shade C1
The MUR Conceal & Define Concealer has been getting a lot of attention lately, with many beauty gurus claiming it’s a dupe for Tarte’s infamous Shape Tape Concealer.
I haven’t used a highlighting concealer in quite some time, but I figured it was time to brighten my oh so tired eyes and I couldn’t resist finding out if the hype on this product was real.
Conceal & Define comes in 18 shades, with C1 being the lightest shade. MUR claims this concealer is lightweight and full coverage with a matte finish that won’t settle into fine lines….hmmmm.
I love how light this concealer shade is – being super white, it can be hard to find a concealer that is light enough to act as an under eye highlight.
The C1 shade makes my under eyes look like I’ve slept the slumber of a thousand years – love it! The rose gold packaging of this concealer is gorgeous, while the texture of the concealer itself is light and creamy.
Like most concealers, Conceal & Define comes with a large doe-foot applicator and I find the coverage to be medium to full – it easily cancels out any redness on my face with a matte finish.
I like to apply 3-4 dabs under my eyes and use my ring finger to blend it out, which it does quite nicely. To set this concealer, I use my RMCA No-Color Powder and found it didn’t crease on me after being properly set.
Now, I kind of love and hate this concealer…The first time I wore it, I found it to be a bit drying under my eyes.
It also brought out some vertical fine lines under my eyes that I never even knew existed – thank you MUR for bringing those to my attention…and right before my birthday too!
However, the next time I wore Conceal & Define, I applied a bit of pore-filling primer under my eyes and a heavier moisturizer.
It worked a lot better and didn’t bring out the fine lines like it did the first time around. Again, I love the brightness I get with this concealer, it’s quite addictive.
With these tweaks, Conceal & Define worked well for me, but if you have dryness or fine lines under your eyes and aren’t interested in having to prep and prime that area before concealing, then Conceal & Define won’t be for you – sawry!

MUR Obsession Contour Powder, C102 Light
There were several great looking contour palettes on the site, but since I have a hard time finding a contour shade to work on my pale skin, I figured a single shade would be best.
I settled on this Obsession Contour Powder and crossed my pale fingers and toes. This powder is very fine and feels super creamy to the touch.
It swatches onto the skin with a slight buttery sheen that I love. Being super soft, it does create a bit of kick-up when you dip your brush into it, so be sure to give your brush a good tap before applying.
Obsession Contour is very pigmented when swatched, but you have to build up the colour when you apply it to your face with a brush.
While I enjoy the shade (which leans more to the brown side), I do wish it was a touch more pigmented to save me time and from using up the powder faster.
That being said, I do love how smooth this contour powder looks on the skin and how well it blends – zero chalkiness here!
MUR Liquid Highlighter – Luminous Luna
I remember when these liquid highlighting drops first came out and a lot of people were claiming they were a dupe for the Cover FX highlighting drops.
I don’t really use a lot of liquid highlighter, but since I can’t resist a good dupe and I’ve always heard how amazing this stuff is, I found myself quickly adding this bottle of liquid silver to my virtual shopping cart.
MUR liquid highlighters come in seven shades, with Luminous Luna being the lightest. According to MUR, their liquid highlighters can be applied directly onto the skin or mixed in with foundation or body lotion for an all over glow.
It comes with a dropper to dispense the highlighter and that beautiful rose gold metallic top that’s such a stunner.
Luminous Luna is a beautiful pearly white highlight for pale skin and a little goes a loooooong way with this product. One full drop of this stuff is enough to make your highlight visible from the International Space Station!
Being someone who prefers a softer highlight, I found just grabbing a little bit of Luminous Luna from the side of the dropper itself and lightly blending it out with my finger was enough to give my skin a soft touch of shimmer. However, if I ever feel the need to transform myself into the Tin Man, I can easily achieve that look with Luminous Luna.
I was worried this highlight would feel sticky and tacky on my skin, but it blended out so easily and didn’t bring out texture issues. Ahhhh…I’m in love…
