I was kindly sent 3 Korean sheet masks from XOLuxe to try out last month.
While I love sheet masks, I rarely make the time for them, even though my skin has been getting more dry and dehydrated with each passing birthday. However, being the ever diligent beauty blogger that I am, I managed to squeeze these masks into my schedule, and I’m really glad that I did…

1. Papa Recipe Bombee Fruitables Red Squeeze Intensive Sheet Mask – $4.75CAD
Papa Recipe has several of these masks in its Bombee Fruitables line and the red squeeze version contains an exfoliant, vitamin C from apple and antioxidants from tomato to brighten dull skin.
This biodegradable sheet mask made with 100% wood pulp is suitable for all skin types.
The key ingredients in this mask are:
- Tomato Extract – Lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that promotes healthy cellular function and prevents collagen deterioration.
- Apple Extract – Antioxidant vitamin C along with natural acids. Also contains natural alpha hydroxy acids that help to gently exfoliate skin.
- Pomegranate extract – Rich in vitamin C that has anti-inflammatory properties and natural sun protection. It also boosts collagen and helps maintain a healthy complexion.
- Mangosteen Extract – An anti-bacterial and antiseptic which help with the fading of acne scars. Makes skin look radiant and healthy.
- Red Currant Extract – Packed with vitamins B and C that help in skin cell regeneration and ease the signs of aging.
I brought this Bombee Fruitables mask with me on my 4-day trip to Las Vegas and used it the first night after we landed to re-hydrate my parched, travel-worn skin.
This mask is LOADED with serum that has a thick, but lightweight consistency. The mask fit well for me except for the nose and mouth area, which I found to be a bit too big.
Red Squeeze is super cool and refreshing on the skin and didn’t budge while on my face. After removing the mask, there was still a good bit of serum left on it, which I made damn sure to wring out and use.
Tip: Always wring out your sheet masks to get any leftover product off of the mask before you toss it – don’t waste a drop!
Did Red Squeeze work? Oh yes – my face felt amazing! Red Squeeze left my skin lusciously plump, dewy and pretty much glowing from the inside out.
This mask was also the most perfect way to relax and hydrate after a long check-in and flight and it left a nice hydrating film on my skin, which acted as a great protective barrier to keep all the moisture locked in while I slept.
Red Squeeze also reduced the look of my pores, which is always a huge plus in my books.

2. Banobagi Vita Genic Lifting Jelly Sheet Mask – $4.50 CAD
The Banobagi Vita Genic Lifting mask was the sheet mask I used when I returned from Las Vegas – when my skin was even more tired and dry.
The “jelly texture” serum features a cactus extract that makes skin visibly firmer and this mask is best suited for dry, irritated or acne prone skin.
The mask is made from 100% cotton and is soft, hypoallergenic and adheres to the skin very well. It’s also free from parabens, methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl, and isobutyl, benzophenone, triethanolamine, benzyl alcohol, sorbic acid, and benzoic acid.
Key ingredients include:
- 40,000ppm Vitamin Complex – 8 Vitamins [A, B3, B5, C, E, F, H, Q] to promote healthy skin.
- Jeju Cactus (Prickly Pear) extract – Bursting with vitamins and antioxidants, this extract works quickly to absorb into the skin to soothe and hydrate it.
- Trehalose – Functions as an anti-oxidant and hydrates the skin to reduce the visible signs of aging.
- Allantoin – Repairs by stimulating tissue growth and soothes through anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Adenosine – Soothes, restores skin and offers anti-wrinkles benefits.
- Sodium Hyaluronate – Binds water and nutrients while attracting water to plump the skin making it supple, hydrated and very smooth.
Did Vita Genic work? Yup – I enjoyed this mask too! It was great for plumping, de-puffing and soothing my dry skin after the return flight home.

My skin dried out A LOT in Las Vegas from the A/C in the room and the overall generally dry climate there, so I was in desperate need of some super intense re-hydration. My skin was so dry that the Red Squeeze mask literally plumped up and refilled my skin like water poured on a dry sponge.
There was also a good chunk of the mask gel left over in the pack to apply the next morning and I didn’t waste a drop!

3. Mediheal Capsule 100 BIO Seconderm Hydro B Sheet Mask – $6CAD
I’ve wanted to try Mediheal sheet masks forever, so this Hydro B sheet mask was much anticipated!
It’s packed with ingredients to hydrate the skin and leave it super radiant. For those of you who like being extra with their sheet masking, Hydro B is a two-step mask.
Step 1 involves applying the Bio-Cellulose sheet mask onto cleansed skin for 20-30 minutes to plump and hydrate skin.
Step 2 involves applying the Capsule 100 ceramide to the skin and letting it absorb.
Since this mask takes a little longer to complete, find a good show on Netflix (I recommend some here!) and get ready to hydrate!
Key ingredients include:
- Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil – A moisturizing agent that gives the skin a firmer and tighter look while supporting healthy collagen development.
- Ceramide – Contains properties that lock moisture into the skin preventing dryness and irritation.
- Sodium Hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) – Binds water and nutrients while attracting water to plump the skin making it supple, hydrated and very smooth.
Did it work? Of course it did…I left Hydro B on my face for the full 30 minutes and added the 100 Ceramide gel afterwards and I had the plumpest skin of my life – no lie! My skin was reborn!
The Hydro B gel has a thin, runny consistency and instantly wakes you up as soon as it touches your skin because it is FREEZING cold! It feels as if you took it straight from the fridge – which I didn’t. This mask would be great in the hot summer to literally chill out your skin or as a relaxing face and eye de-puffer given how cold it is.
Again, my skin was left glowing afterwards and luxuriously hydrated.
My opinion? This mask is worth every penny of the $6 XOLuxe charges – it’s magic! I can see this one being a winter skin care staple to give parched, weathered skin a good old kick in the ass.
Only issue I had with this one was that the mask didn’t want to stay put along my jaw line, so I had to put it back in place every so often, but otherwise it fit tightly around my eyes, nose and mouth, which I loved.
I also had a ton of the mask gel and 100 ceramide gel left over to use later to keep the hydration factor going over the next several days.
