A bob cut, also known as a bob, is a short to medium length haircut in which hair is usually cut straight around the head at approximately jaw level, but no longer than shoulder-length. The standard bob cut keeps all of the hair well above the shoulders.

What Is A Lob?

The lob earned its name because it’s a take on the original bob haircut. A lob is a little longer than a regular bob (bob + long bob = lob). Typically, the length of the long bob haircut falls somewhere between the chin and collarbone, just below the shoulders.

The lob is also a super popular haircut because it looks great on all face shapes and is great for slimming down rounder faces that may not work as well with the shorter bob style (I personally cannot pull off a bob with my round face!).
