I’ve been having a terrible relationship with my hair over the past couple years. Ever since having kids, my hair has become coarser, straighter, grayer, duller and more stubborn to deal with.
I’m also fighting terrible fly-aways along my hairline in the front; I lost a lot of hair in that area after giving birth last year and it is now growing back…and it’s decided to grow back frizzy and curly – how wonderful!
Not having a lot of time or energy meant that my hair often got neglected and generally looked like crap during the summer. But now that the weather’s much cooler, I’ve been reaching for my round brush, hair dryer and a couple new hair products that have been making my hair happy again.
John Frieda Original Frizz-Ease Hair Serum
This stuff should be called “amazing hair in a bottle.” Barely a pea-sized amount warmed in my hands and applied mid-shaft to ends makes my hair unbelievably healthy looking and silky soft. No easy feat, trust me. Frizz-Ease also helps reduce that curly frizz I’m dealing with in the front that makes me look especially frazzled.
Word of warning, start with a small amount of Frizz-Ease and apply more as needed. If you go overboard, this stuff will make your hair greasy in a heartbeat.

Ouai Treatment Masque
I got a sample size of this Ouai Treatment Masque in a previous Ipsy bag and loved it immediately. It smooths my hair in an instant, no matter how dry and broken my hair is when I use it.
Since this is a sample size, I’ve been using it sparingly before special occasions to glam up my locks and it’s coming down to the last few drops. If I don’t find a drugstore dupe, I’m going to have to shell out the extra $$$ for the full size, because this hair mask is brilliant!
