Youtube makeup tutorials are one of my guilty pleasures and I have several beauty YouTubers that I really enjoy watching. I find nothing more therapeutic after a long day of work than watching someone apply their foundation or create a stunning eye makeup look that I’ll probably never be able to re-create in my lifetime. Is there anything better?
Below are a some of the best beauty YouTubers that teach me a lot about makeup and give me constant beauty inspiration.
1. Kathleen Lights
I found Kathleen Lights‘ channel earlier this year and embarked on a few binge watching sessions shortly thereafter. This gorgeous beauty Youtuber has nabbed over 4 million YouTube subscribers with her infectious personality and honest beauty reviews.
She is so much fun to watch! I think I could listen to her talk about the weather and still be entertained. Her makeup looks are amazing, and I’m a little jealous because she’s practically poreless on camera. More importantly, I trust her reviews and have purchased several items that I love using based on her advice. A great makeup inspiration, especially if you are looking for cosmetics that work on dry skin or eye makeup looks for larger eyes.

2. Sona Gasparian
Sona is a professional makeup artist that can whip up a stunning look in no time. Her beauty tips and tricks videos are super helpful and she posts a variety of makeup looks for every occasion. She also covers hair, skin care and fashion for those of you looking for a one-stop shop for all things beauty and style.
I especially love watching her apply her eye makeup; Sona has hooded eyes, like me, so I’ve learned a lot just from watching her apply her eyeshadows and liners. I’ve tried out a couple of her looks on myself and they work; I actually have eyes!
I’ve posted a link to one of my favourite videos from Sona below on how to accentuate brown eyes. She also has a great do’s and don’ts YouTube video for hooded eyes here.

3. Wayne Goss
Who doesn’t know Wayne Goss by this point? An experienced makeup artist and one of the best beauty YouTubers around, Wayne will provide you with all the makeup tips you’ll ever need, and then some. I ditched my powder brush and revised my foundation setting technique based on Wayne’s advice, which totally improved my foundation game. Thanks Wayne!
Wayne’s focus is providing cosmetics and some skin care reviews, as well as tutorials on the latest tips and tricks he’s tried. Plus, his cheeky and candid attitude makes him loads of fun to watch. Whatever Wayne likes and promotes spreads like wildfire. His latest review of products from the new Deciem skin care line The Ordinary had everyone (myself included) racing to find out more about the brand.
