e.l.f. Cosmetics Lip Plumping Gloss and Tinted Lip Oil

I ordered a decent sized e.l.f. Cosmetics haul on Cyber Monday (60% off + 8% cash back with ebates!) and picked up their Lip Plumping Gloss in “Sparkling Rosé” along with a Tinted Lip Oil in “Nude Kiss.”

Two very different formulas but both lovely pinks that you must add to your lip collection…like now.

The e.l.f. Cosmetics Lip Plumping Gloss has a super intense cooling sensation when applied and will leave your lips tingling for quite some time after.

The tingling sensation is meant to irritate the lips – yes, irritate – to stimulate blood flow to the surface in order to plump them.

I can’t say for sure if this actually plumps my lips, but it does give them a glorious Vaseline-like glow; definitely a gloss you need if you want some attention in the lip area and the “Sparkling Rose” shade is the perfect soft, cool pink.

However, if you hate tingling on the lips, skip this one.

For something non-tingling, but just as lovely on the lips, the e.l.f. Cosmetics Tinted Lip Oil in “Nude Kiss” is for you.

A slightly warmer coral-pink, this gloss is just as comfortable on the lips as the plumping version (without the cooling tingle) and will keep your lips hydrated and kissable.

L’Oreal Color Riche Shine Glossy Lipstick and Wet n’ Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liners “Never Petal Down”

I’ve wanted to try a lipstick from this L’Oreal Color Riche range for a while and I can tell you it is definitely worth all the hype.

Color Riche Shine delivers the most comfortable, oil-infused lipstick that is like jogging pants for your lips.

While the wear time on this one is minimal, being glossy and all, it just looks and feels so great that you don’t mind stopping to apply another shiny layer.

My only complaint with this lipstick is the shade I picked; Shining Peach is a super nude peach colour which my husband described as looking like “nothing” on me.

As a result, I’ve been applying this lipstick on top of my Wet n’ Wild Gel Liner in “Never Petal Down”, which amps up the colour.

This gel liner goes on super smooth and feels nothing like the traditional dry lip liners of the past – I need more of these ASAP!

L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick  – “Saucy Mauve” #560

If you’re looking for a great lipstick that feels super creamy and wears well without too much shine, the original Color Riche lipstick is still one of my drugstore must-haves!

It has a soft, satin finish that won’t bleed and it smells like sweet candy. Saucy Mauve is a great purple-pink cool toned shade.

Essence Cosmetics Shine Shine Shine Lip Gloss

Described as a “wet look” gloss, this latest grab from Essence really impressed me. It only cost about $4 but it is the glossiest, comfiest, non-sticky lip gloss ever!

You don’t get a lot of pigment out of this one, but if you’re looking to have mirror-like, juicy lips, this Shine gloss is what you’ll be reaching for.

Gorgeous on its own, it also makes a great lipstick topper for max shine that astronauts will be able to see from space.

Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron + Volumising Lip Treatment*

Ok, so this isn’t a lipstick or lip gloss, but I just had to include it in this post. If you’re looking for a product that is going to give your lips some TLC, the newest launch from Indeed Labs is your best bet.

The Hydraluron + Volumising Lip Treatment* promises to plump, hydrate, heal and soothe your lips all in one go with a combination of ultra-filling spheres (plumping), pomegranate sterols, coffee, tea and tropical fruit Extracts (moisturizing) as well as anti-oxidant benefits.

I received this PR sample at just the right time as I was recovering from a bad allergic reaction to dust in my office, which made my sinuses plug up and forced me to breathe through my mouth all day and night.

My lips started to dry out and crack like crazy, but this lip treatment revived them in no time.

It feels amazing on the lips (very similar to the Laneige Lip Mask, but even better!) and it didn’t give me an allergic reaction like other lip treatments have.

It also makes a great lip mask for some overnight replenishment.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss

I forgot to add this lip gloss to the featured image for this post, but I couldn’t leave it out.

I grabbed this light pink Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss in the shade “Pinkissimo” and it brings such a gorgeous shine to the lips. It delivers hydration for plump lips and feels great – never sticky!

It also makes a stunning lip topper to amp up any pink lip! There are 10 different shades to choose from and I think I need to add another to my collection.

Wet n’ Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit High-Shine Lipstick

I read in a few posts that the new Wet n’ Wild High-Shine Lipsticks were a great dupe for the new Bobbi Brown liquid lips so I thought it would be worth a try.

I picked a peachy shade called “Peach Stole My Look” and it’s great.

While I don’t find it provides the amount of shine that the name suggests, it does give my lips a nice hit of colour without being sticky or heavy.

There are 13 shades in this range, which are infused with vitamin E and murumuru seed and shea butter for a super creamy formula.

The pigment is great and pretty much turns out like what it looks like on the outside of the tube, so there are no surprises.
