The elf 16Hr Camo Concealer Can Cover Anything

I went through my teens and twenties never bothering to use a concealer, because I simply didn’t need one. But after 15 years, hundreds of YouTube makeup videos, two kids and being almost 40 years old, concealer has been in my makeup rotation for the last several years.

Why? Because nothing can brighten a dark under eye or hide eye bags like a great concealer and the elf Cosmetics 16Hr Camo Concealer does all this at a great price.

elf Camo Concealer Shades and Claims

The elf Camo Concealer retails for $6USD and comes in 26 shades that fall under the cool, neutral or warm category. I have the shade “Farm Warm” and love that it’s actually light enough to act as a highlighting concealer on my super fair skin.

This concealer won the 2019 Cosmopolitan UK Beauty Award and elf says it’s:

“A full-coverage, 16-hour wear concealer featuring a large doe foot applicator to conceal, correct, contour and highlight for flawless skin.

The highly pigmented formula is lightweight, dries matte and won’t settle into fine lines or creases.”

elf also offers a 100% shade match guarantee or a you get a full refund within 30 days of purchase. The brand recommends finding the right shade match through a dry swatch, as this concealer dries down slightly darker when applied.

The elf camo concealer is vegan and cruelty free too and is best for normal/combo skin.

Doe Foot Applicator

When elf says it comes with a large doe foot applicator, they weren’t playing. The doe foot in this concealer is huge and a little cumbersome, considering I only need a small dot of concealer under each eye.

I would have preferred a smaller doe foot, but it’s not a deal breaker.

elf Camo Concealer Coverage

The elf camo concealer is most definitely full coverage. Just one dot of this stuff under each eye is enough to cover anything and everything I want to have covered.

This concealer blends quite easily into the skin and dries quickly. I like to apply it with my finger for best results!

elf Camo Concealer Finish

This concealer is a flat matte with not even a hint of glow to be seen for miles; great for anyone looking for a super matte finish, but not so great if you have dry under eyes or any kind of texture/fine lines in the area.

I set my under eyes with the RCMA No Color setting powder and have no issues with any creasing with this concealer.

If a matte concealer won’t work for you, elf has also released the elf Hydrating Camo Concealer targeted for drier skin types looking for a satin finish.

I’ve never tried Shape Tape so I can’t answer this question, but you can find a comparison of these two concealers here.

How Long Does The elf Camo Concealer Last?

When going to work, I’ll usually have my makeup on from 7am until 10pm when I complete my night time skin care routine and this concealer doesn’t budget or cake up on me in the least.

Overall, if you are looking for a full coverage, flat matte concealer that won’t budge, the elf Cosmetics 16Hr Camo Concealer is a great drugstore option.

If you suffer from dry under eyes and/or fine lines, this concealer could highlight those issues; consider the elf Hydrating Camo Concealer instead.
