This Exfoliating Foot Peel From Amazon Gave Me Baby Soft Feet

I haven’t really paid much attention to my tootsies since before I had kids. While pregnant, there came a point where I couldn’t reach my toes and the postpartum period really didn’t give me much time to focus on my pedicure. Or sleep. Or anything else, for that matter.

Translation? My feet became horrid – covered in dry, hard skin that looked like I had walked through the desert barefoot – twice. But like any person looking for a tried and tested fix, I looked an Amazon and searched for “exfoliating foot peel” and voila! The Amazon Gods answered…

How Does Dr. Pedicure Exfoliating Foot Peel Work?

Dr. Pedicure is an exfoliating foot peel designed to remove coarse, dead skin for smoother, softer feet. It also claims to have anti-aging effects by reducing fine lines and wrinkles (never considered this for my feet, but ok) and removes bacteria (gross). No filing, shaving or grinding equipment required!

In addition, 17 types of natural Asian vegetable extracts work to remove foot odour and re-energize tired feet.

*if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have diabetes, consult your doctor before using Dr. Pedicure please*

First step? Clean and soak your feet in warm water for 5-10 minutes to soften the skin. The exfoliating mixture comes in plastic booties; simply cut across the top of the booties and slip your feet inside.

It’s recommended that you put socks on over the booties to keep them in place. I also massaged the mask around my feet at the beginning to spread the mixture around, but you don’t have to. Keep the booties on for 1 hour and stay seated; this is not the time to be walking around the house or down stairs – God no!

After 5-7 days, the brand claims that intense peeling will occur and that you will be left with baby soft feet. I followed the instructions to a T and waited for my results…

Did It Work?

I did the Dr. Pedicure exfoliating foot peel on a Saturday night after everyone went to sleep (ahhh, silence) and by Tuesday already started to see results. Driving home from work that day, I can remember feeling a weird sensation on the bottoms of my feet, as if the material in my shoe was coming loose (which it was, time for new shoes Ang).

However, when I got home and removed my shoes, my feet looked like this (warning, it’s nasty!):

I have never seen so much skin peel off my body at once – so nasty and satisfying! I removed the hunks of peeling skin and by the time I was finished, I literally had a hand full of dead skin pieces in my trash can. I excitedly told my husband that night “my feet are peeling like crazy” and he said “I know, I can see all kinds of skin chunks on the bathroom floor.” Ooops – sorry! *grabs vacuum*

The newly revealed skin on my feet was super soft and a bit sensitive, so I made sure to moisturize right away to keep my new feet hydrated and protected. However, there was still a lot of the old skin remaining, so the peeling wasn’t over. After a couple weeks, the bottoms of my feet had totally peeled and my feet felt INCREDIBLE. So soft and smooth – I couldn’t believe my eyes. Even the thick skin on my heels was totally removed and good as new. MIND….BLOWN….

I’m actually thinking of making it a regular thing for me, like “Angela’s Annual Foot Peel” – sounds fun, right?

If your feet are in need of a tune up, or you just enjoy peeling huge chunks of dead skin off your feet, I highly recommend the Dr. Pedicure Foot Exfoliation Mask by Grace & Stella Co. from Amazon!
