14 Amazing Skin Care Tools For Glowing Skin
1. LightStim Mini for Wrinkles or the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask(red light skin therapy)
The LightStim Mini for wrinkles is definitely my most interesting skin care tool. I bought it a couple years ago after hearing about the skin care benefits I could get from it. The various red LED lights are absorbed by the skin and reduce fine lines and pores by stimulating the skin’s collagen and elastin production to give you firmer, plumper and more youthful skin. The treatments should be done for 5 days a week for at least 8 weeks to see results.
For an easier, hands-free treatment, consider the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask. It costs a lot more, but you can get in a relaxing 10-minute treatment up to 5 times per week for smoother, firmer skin (I reviewed it here).

2. Silicone Pulsing Cleansing Brush
I never thought much of these bumpy, vibrating facial brushes until I tried one out and fell in love! The silicone bristles are super gentle on skin for everyday use and not only remove more dirt and oil than using just your hands, but also provide mild exfoliation to the skin.
These brushes are battery powered and provide a pulsing sensation on the skin when turned on to help clean skin while providing a lovely massage. Even better, my pores always look smaller and my skin feels smoother whenever I use one (mine is the FOREO Luna mini 3 cleansing brush!). While the Foreo Luna will cost you a couple hundred dollars, there are also super affordable options from Amazon.
3. Derma Roller/Microneedling Tool
Derma rollers became all the rage a few years ago and being on the cutting edge of skin care as I am, I just had to try this craze out. Derma rollers are rolling cylinders that have tiny needles covering their entire surface. The length of the needles can vary based on the area or issue you are trying to treat. Derma rollers are applied to clean skin in horizontal, vertical and diagonal rolling patterns to allow the needles to make tiny holes in your skin (think of irrigating your lawn).
These tiny holes, or micro-injuries, then stimulate your skin to produce collagen and elastin to heal itself. Derma rolling has been credited with reducing acne scarring, under-eye bags, fine lines and wrinkles, large pores and discolouration. Some people even roll it over their lips to get them plumper.
If you want to try derma rolling, I suggest you do some research first to determine what needle length you should use, how to use it and how to keep it clean and disinfected (I’ve included a link to more details about microneedling below).

4. Jade Roller
Jade rollers are every where nowadays and for good reason; they help to promote lymphatic drainage and can de-puff a full face. Facial massage is also great for boosting blood flow to the surface of the skin, which promotes skin healthy and gives a great healthy glow.
Jade rollers are used by rolling the roller from the center of the face upwards and outwards to promote drainage. Most rollers have a smaller roller at the bottom to be used around the eye area.

5. Facial Cupping Skin Care Tools
Facial cupping is something I really want to try and I have my eyes on this set from Amazon for a while. I’ve included a video below that shows how facial cupping works for a visual. The cups are heated and then placed on moisturized/oiled skin and dragged around the face.
The heated cups provide gentle suction on the skin that boost blood flow to promote healing and a healthy glow.
6. Skin Care Fridge
Do you need a skin care fridge to preserve your skin care? Honestly no, but it is a night skin care accessory to have to keep your sheet masks, rollers and gels super cool for your next skin care pamper session. They also make for the greatest Instagram photos!

7. Gold Pulsing Facial Massager
I wrote a full post on this massager here because I absolutely love it! It feels amazing and is great for relaxing tense facial muscles while boosting glow and blood circulation.
It can also help slim your face by promoting lymphatic drainage so I highly recommend it (they’re super cheap too!).I also use it under my eyes to de-puff them in the morning.
Tip: Use the pulsing massager on top of your next sheet mask to help the sheet mask absorb!

8. Microcurrent Facial Toning Devices
Microcurrent skin care tools have been growing in popularity and because of their ability to tone and firm skin while reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Tools like the Forea BEAR mini Facial Toning Device (reviewed here) or the Nuface Facial Toning Device are quite pricey but loved by many for instantly lifting the face.
However, if you want a more budget friendly option, the Relumins Microcurrent massager is what I use (reviewed here).

9. Microdermabrasion Set
Microdermabrasion is a great way to get an intense exfoliation on your skin and is now something you can do from the comfort of your own home.
Make your skin glow with PMD Personal Microderm Kit during your next at home facial and it can be used every 6-7 days (leave more time between sessions and use a more gentle tip if you have sensitive skin).

10. Gua Sha Skin Care Tools For Glowing Skin
Similar to jade rollers and other facial massaging tools, Gua Sha is a great way to de-puff and promote lymphatic drainage wherever you need it.
The quartz stones themselves are truly gorgeous and this centuries-old Asian practice has been well tested and shown to promote glowing skin. You can see this massage technique in action in the video below.

11. FOREO UFO Smart Mask Treatment
The Forea UFO Smart Mask tool is a 90-second mask treatment device that uses optimal temperature, LED wavelengths and pulsing technology to kill acne and improve the signs of aging.
It’s meant as a treatment that would replace your usual 15-20 minute mask with optimal skin care technology using various settings. The mask portion of the device does require replacing over time, FYI.

12. Facial Steamer
Using a facial steamer is a great way to get a soft mist of hydration onto your skin. While steam doesn’t open your pores like most people will tell you, it’s a great way to soften skin prior to having a blackhead extraction or facial massage and mask done.

13. Silk’n Flash & Go Laser Hair Remover
I posted a detailed review of this device here, and I love it because it’s a great way to permanently reduce or thin out facial and body hair for smooth, stubble-free skin.
Unlike previous laser hair removal models, the Flash & Go doesn’t require replacement laser cartridges either. The laser is safe for at home use and uses laser technology to travel down the hair shaft to destroy the root of the hair over multiple uses – a modern miracle in my opinion!

14. Facial Razors
If you suffer from annoying facial hair that’s thin (e.g. peach fuzz) then you might want to try a facial razor. I use these once every couple weeks to de-fuzz my face and have included a detailed post on the benefits of facial shaving and how to do it here.

Great post! I am actually considering the purchase of a derma roller xx

They’re not so bad once you get used to them!
I’m interested in trying a Clarisonic, I’ve heard great things about this. I use a silicone brush right now and really like it.
Jennifer | Mrs Q Beauty
The Clarisonic has bristles, so it will be a bit more abrasive than the silicone brush. I’d actually like to try the silicone brush – we should swap!
I have two beauty tools; Foreo Luna and Olay Pro-X and I use either one everyday. I am tempted to purchase Clarisonic but it’s so priceyyyy.
ShireenâReflection of Sanity
I’d love to try the Foreo Luna – looks super gentle for the skin. I purchased the Clarisonic Mia because it was a bit cheaper than the regular size Clarisonic and is actually the perfect size to use on the face.
