11 Amazon Finds That Made My Life Easier

I’ve been trying to list all my favourite items from 2019 to share with you, and the first post I had to write was about all the goodies I’ve loved from Amazon this past year. Ever since I had kids and lost the will to venture out into shopping malls and plazas, Amazon has been my one stop shopping spot and whatever problem I have can usually be solved by a quick browse of their products and the click of a button.

Here are 11 things I’ve loved from Amazon that have made my life easier.

1. Bluetooth Shower Speaker – I featured this speaker a while back in an Amazon haul post and our love affair is still going strong. I love listening to music in the shower and this waterproof, suction-cupped speaker turns my shower into a dance club with the touch of a button – alcoholic beverages not included. You can also answer calls on it for all those showering multi-taskers out there.

2. Felt-Covered Hangers: Tired of picking up silk blouses and wide-necked tops from the floor? These felt-covered hangers make it easy for you to hang your clothes without the worry of having anything slide off. I have these hangers in light gray, but they come in other shades as well.

3. Sleep Mask: I used to laugh at people who wore sleep masks, as they seemed a little too fancy for my liking. But after reading a number of articles about people who found these masks helped them fall and stay asleep, I ordered one and am now a proud sleep-mask wearing convert. Even though my room is pretty dark at night, this mask blocks out any bits of light that can distract me from falling asleep and it also keeps out any morning light that might wake me up early. These ones are super comfy and come with two in a pack, as well as a handy storage bag for travelling.

4. Rubber Scalp Massager: This massager cost me about $6 and its fabulous! It’s rubber, pointy bristles give me the most relaxing massage while I shampoo my hair and it’s also great for removing dead skin and promoting blood circulation, which is claimed to promote hair growth.

5. Shoe Stretcher: My feet got a bit wider after having kids, so I found that a lot of my go-to shoes were feeling tighter than usual. But of course, Amazon had the answer in this shoe stretcher; just slip it into the front of your shoe, turn the rod to expand the wood panels in the shoe and leave it in overnight for roomier shoes in the morning.

6. Hand-Held Fan: I hate the summer and I especially hate arriving to my office after a 15 minute walk from the station dripping sweat. I ordered this hand-held fan from Amazon and used it each morning in the summer to help me cool off and it’s magnificent! It has 3 speeds and comes with a USB charger. You can also bend back the handle and prop it up on a table if you don’t want to hold it. Definitely a summer handbag essential!

7. Storage Unit: I have a ton of skin care products but very little storage space in my bathroom, so I grabbed two of these plastic organizer units to hold most of my toners, cleansers and serums. They hold quite a bit and fit easily in my washroom vanity to keep things tidy.

8. Light Up Alarm: I have a terrible time getting up in the mornings, but it’s even harder for me in the winter when the mornings are so dark. I decided to order this light up alarm clock and it definitely helps! It gradually starts to light up and gets brighter as it approaches your wake up time to mimic the sunrise. You can adjust the brightness level and set it the sound to use one of several alarm tones or a radio station to get your attention each morning.

9. Wi-Fi Extender: My Wi-Fi signal always decreases in strength when I’m in my bedroom or ensuite, so I decided to give this extender a try and it works! No more slow loading movies or YouTube makeup tutorials (first-world problems, I know).

10. Umbra Drain Cover: I posted about this drain cover a couple years back and I still use this thing. I lose a ton of hair when I shower, so I always make sure to put this drain cover on whenever I wash my hair to avoid serious hair balls in my drain later.

11. TENS Muscles Stimulator: This was a gifted product for review and I loved it! Reviewed in detail here, this massager sends an electrical current to your muscles to stimulate blood flow and relieve pain and muscle tension. My husband and I fight over who gets to use this unit at night when we get into bed and it’s a great way to unwind and get a relaxing at-home massage…since we’re both too tired to massage each other…
