Having the right base for makeup is so important for anyone with oily skin.
Makeup can move around or wear off faster if the skin gets too oily and no one wants patchy, cakey foundation, do they?
Here are my 3 favourite base products for oily skin that I can’t live without!

CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion For Normal to Oily Skin, SPF 30
I use this SPF moisturizer on a daily basis before applying my makeup. It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves a soft, matte finish.
Perfect for protecting your skin from the sun, it includes micro-fine zinc oxide crystals that spread easily without that strong sunscreen smell that makes me gag. CeraVe AM also includes niacinamide, which helps reduce pore size.
This moisturizer never interferes with my foundation and gives me just enough hydration to keep my skin soft without adding to my grease factor.
It also doesn’t burn my eyes like other SPF creams I’ve used (I’m talking about you Cetaphil Moisturizer with SPF 50).

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation
Estée Lauder’s cult classic foundation has been saving oily skins from makeup meltdown for years. Double Wear it provides long lasting full coverage with a soft matte finish.
I’ve worn this for 12+ hours during the hot, summer months and still find it in tact when I get home, which is no small feat.
Estee Lauder’s Double Wear eats oil for breakfast. Period.

RCMA No-Color Powder
I highly recommend setting your foundation with powder if you have oily skin and the RCMA No-Color Powder is my setting powder of choice.
Super affordable and a long time makeup artist favourite, this white, finely milled powder is great for increasing the longevity of your foundation for the long, oily day ahead.
White in colour, this powder sets to a translucent finish and can be applied with a powder brush or damp makeup sponge (my setting method of choice) for an air-brushed finish.

I swear I am the only person in the beauty world who hasn’t tried RCMA powder! I have tried EL Double Wear but it looks like a mask on me.

Double Wear is definitely a tricky bastard to apply. It took me a while to find out the best application to avoid it caking up.
I have the double wear and love it!
