I heard great things about The Body Shop’s Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter; pretty much every beauty blogger around has been raving about this stuff! So I decided to grab a tin of it, when The Body Shop British Rose Petal toner caught my eye as well, it’s just so damn pretty!
So, with both of these products in my bag, I excitedly added them into my skin care routine…
British Rose Petal-Soft Gel toner
I love gel skin care products, so the texture of the Rose Petal-Soft gel toner was an instant hit for me. It spreads and absorbs well and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated.
What didn’t work for me? The strong floral smell. When I first opened it I couldn’t even handle a whiff of this stuff on the back of my hand. Luckily, the scent died down a bit after opening, but it continues to drive me slowly insane.
This gel also has little bits of rose petals suspended in it, which makes it very pretty to look at but annoying as hell when you find one of these little petal bits rolled up on your face. If it wasn’t for the petal bits and scent, this would be a favourite for me.
Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
I heard rave reviews about this cleansing butter and decided to try it out. It has a very light scent and works well to remove my makeup, including my eye makeup, without issue. After massaging it into my face, I use a cotton pad to remove the cleanser and then rinse with warm water. I also follow up with a second cleanser to remove any residue left behind.
Just wish it came with a little scoop for me to pick up the product, since it’s been getting a bit dirty from my double-dipping (gross, I know).
